GC Inlet Seals

A gas chromatography (GC) inlet seal is designed to create a secure, leak-tight connection between the inlet body and the ferrule of the capillary column. Even minor leaks within a split/splitless GC inlet can compromise system performance by lowering sensitivity, increasing background noise, and contributing to greater column bleed. The seal plays a critical role in eliminating potential microleaks along the flow path. By forming a reliable seal at the base of the inlet, it helps maintain a stable connection to the analytical column.
