The Restek MXT-Msieve 5A is a high-performance molecular sieve PLOT column designed for the efficient separation of permanent gases in demanding laboratory and process GC applications. Combining the rugged durability of Siltek®-treated stainless steel tubing with advanced molecular sieve technology, it delivers exceptional retention, sharp peak shapes, and reliable chromatographic performance for gases that are difficult to separate using conventional stationary phases. Its robust particle immobilization technology ensures long-term stability, even under continuous valve-switching conditions.

Specifically designed for the separation of argon, oxygen, carbon monoxide, and other permanent gases.
Molecular Sieve 5A stationary phase provides very high retention, enabling efficient gas separations at above-ambient temperatures.
Advanced coating and deactivation technology ensures excellent chromatographic efficiency while preserving the integrity of the porous layer coating.
Optimized deactivation allows carbon monoxide to elute as a sharp, symmetrical peak, improving quantitative performance.
Proprietary particle immobilization technology securely bonds the porous layer to the tubing, maintaining reliable performance even during continuous valve cycling.
Manufactured from Siltek®-treated stainless steel tubing, providing exceptional mechanical durability for process GC and industrial applications.
If water contamination occurs, column performance can be restored by conditioning at 300 °C with dry carrier gas for 3 hours.
Note: Molecular sieve stationary phases are highly hydrophilic and readily adsorb moisture, which can affect peak symmetry and resolution. Recoiling PLOT columns is not recommended, as it may dislodge particles from the inner wall of the tubing.
