Agilent AdvanceBio SEC columns are designed for size exclusion chromatography (SEC) of biomolecules. High-porosity silica particles combined with hydrophilic bonding chemistry provide stable SEC separations with minimal nonspecific interactions. The columns are suitable for qualitative and quantitative analysis of protein aggregates, fragments and other size variants, including critical quality attribute (CQA) analysis of biotherapeutic molecules.

AdvanceBio SEC columns with 2.7 µm particles are available with four different pore sizes to cover a broad molecular size range. The 130 Å pore size is intended for peptides and small therapeutic proteins, while 300 Å columns are suitable for monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), antibody drug conjugates (ADCs) and other proteins. Larger biomolecules can be analyzed using 500 Å columns for AAVs, large therapeutic proteins and oligonucleotides, or 1000 Å columns for VLPs, oligonucleotides and other large biotherapeutics.

For high-resolution and high-throughput SEC analysis, AdvanceBio 1.9 µm SEC columns provide a sub-2 µm particle option. The 120 Å, 1.9 µm configuration is suited to peptides and small therapeutic proteins, while 200 Å, 1.9 µm columns are designed for mAb and ADC characterization. AdvanceBio SEC 200 Å, 1.9 µm columns can be used with both UHPLC and HPLC instruments and are designed to improve the separation of mAb aggregates and lower molecular weight protein fragments.
