Welch

Welch Materials offers a broad portfolio of high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) columns designed to serve diverse analytical needs, from routine reversed-phase separations to specialty applications like HILIC. Their product lines are well-recognized for their reproducibility, high purity of stationary phase materials, and the breadth of chromatographic phases and formats available.

The Ultisil brand is built on ultra-pure full porous spherical silica with high surface uniformity and low metal contamination, allowing for high-resolution separations and long column life. These columns cover a wide variety of stationary phase chemistries (e.g., C18, C8, HILIC, Amino, etc) and particle sizes.

Xtimate is another of Welch’s branded column lines, offering additional phase and format options, including smaller particle sizes and UHPLC-compatible dimensions.

The Welchrom brand is specifically called out by Welch Materials as a line of HPLC columns that emphasise high-purity spherical silica, advanced bonding and end-capping techniques to deliver symmetrical peak shapes and low back‐pressure.

In addition to the three brands above, Welch also markets other series such as Topsil, Boltimate® (core-shell particle technology) and more, to address specialised needs in chromatography.
