Agilent PL aquagel-OH SEC Columns

Agilent PL aquagel-OH SEC columns are designed for the separation and molecular weight determination of water-soluble polymers and biopolymers. The series uses a macroporous polymeric matrix with a hydrophilic surface to support size-based separation of neutral, anionic and cationic hydrophilic macromolecules.

The stationary phase consists of a highly cross-linked macroporous polymer matrix with a chemically bonded hydrophilic surface layer. This surface chemistry minimizes hydrophobic interactions between the sample and stationary phase, allowing separation to be governed primarily by steric exclusion and the hydrodynamic size of the molecules in solution.

Agilent PL aquagel-OH 20 is a small-pore SEC phase designed for low-molecular-weight hydrophilic compounds and polymers.

Agilent PL aquagel-OH 30 to 60 columns provide medium- to wide-pore configurations for the analysis of larger water-soluble macromolecules.

Agilent PL aquagel-OH MIXED columns combine different pore sizes to provide a broad SEC separation range and a linear calibration profile across an extended molecular-weight range. These columns are particularly suitable for unknown samples or polymers with broad molecular-weight distributions.

Agilent PL Rapide aquagel-OH provides high-throughput SEC formats for rapid analysis of water-soluble polymers. Optimized particle packing combined with shorter and wider column configurations reduces analysis time and solvent consumption while maintaining chromatographic resolution for screening applications.
