IDEX high quality tubing in a variety of materials

IDEX Health & Science has a proprietary in-house extrusion capability and manufacture high quality, versatile tubing in a variety of materials and styles. IDEX high pressure tubing includes biocompatible PEEK selections and pre-cut stainless steel. IDEX fluoropolymer tubing is available in FEP and PFA and unique High Purity PFA. Many of the tubing options are color coded for easy detection and some are translucent making it easy to view the fluid pathway. Features of wide variety of IDEX tubing options

  • FEP (Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene) tubing is a transparent fluoropolymer material characterized by high UV permeability and excellent chemical compatibility. Its inert properties, wide service temperature range of -200 °C to +200 °C and flexibility makes it a highly versatile option.
  • PEEK (Polyether Ether Ketone) tubing combines allows to operate at pressures up to 5,000 psi and temperatures up to approximately 250 °C. It is biocompatible, non-conductive and non-reactive.
  • PFA (Perfluoroalkoxy) tubing offers extreme chemical resistance, high purity, and thermal stability.
  • ETFE (Ethylene-Tetrafluoroethylene) tubing is known for its increased mechanical strength compared to other fluoropolymer materials (FEP, PFA, etc) making it more resistant to stress and abrasion. It has excellent chemical resistance to a broad range of acids, bases, solvents, and alcohols, but is subject to attack when used with chlorinated compounds.
  • SS (Stainless Steel) tubing is engineered for ultra-high-pressure applications, perfect for UHPLC, supercritical fluid chromatography, and other demanding analytical workflows.
  • PEEKsil tubing consists of a fused silica core (glass-like, extremely smooth and inert) surrounded by a PEEK polymer jacket. This hybrid design delivers the precision of silica with the durability and flexibility of PEEK. The PEEK outer layer adds toughness, protecting the fragile silica core from breakage.
  • Fused silica tubing has an exceptionally smooth bore and very precise internal diameters reducing turbulence. This is critical for high-efficiency separations in LC, GC, and capillary electrophoresis. Fused silica is highly inert, up to pH 10, and should not be used with hydrofluoric acid (HF).
